Re: Myth Kickstarter Project

I don't imagine they were considering trying to use mariusnet (Renwood's lifetime ban being one reason), from ooga's reply it sounds like they are "planning" (and I use the word somewhat loosely ) on using the bungie.net codebase. Since the bnet code is "free" I think they think...

Re: Myth 3

you also have to remember that for many of the people working on Myth 3 - this was their first paying gig. A threat of being blacklisted would take more weight with someone new to the industry than someone who had been around the block a while. If I recall correctly, a/the lead programmer (Andrew Me...

Re: Myth Kickstarter Project

... Or similar with MariusNet... I would say that if they are at all serious, they do not even think about considering MariusNet. It was written in a 'dead' language (Delphi), modifications and/or support is rather difficult. I know PPE was talking about rewriting everything but I don't know how fa...

In the meantime you can always log into the server as a guest (though you wont be able to see visit the most typically populated rooms). login: guest password: anything (not the word anything... though that would work too) I forgot how fast marius can add things in ... expect guests to be able to g...

Dood, the bed is far more comfortable now. Far more comfortable. Even the rank h00rs agree, and they dug their heels in before switching. It is awesome! Finally some stability. oh, the rank h00rs will start complaining about the ranking system soon enough. I'll be the first to admit it has it's fla...

I posted a comment on his ellusive mind news post with a genuine thanks for all his work, and a link to mnet not only did he not post it, he has silently banned me from his website. It appears to be "down for maintenance" for me and nobody else. But why? That's not just 'not caring' about...

Convenience . If I'm on m3 and there is a game being hosted on m2 that I might be interested to participate in, I would enjoy knowing of the game. Much like how I enjoy playing m2 and seeing any m3 games being played. I agree, there is no reason they shouldn't be viewable... when we added support t...

Blades put up a message telling ppl to switch to marius? To him its a matter of pride - he'd rather have Myth die than see playmyth lose out to mnet. I have a feeling you're probably right, however, there are reasons to keep PlayMyth running. In the spring of 2002 when PlayMyth came up, most of the...
