Re: Scripting or Fear-ing?
I think scripting is going to be needed to some degree no matter how you implement it exactly. Your idea of doing it as an attack though might be a good away, as it would eliminate the need for a constant follow script, but it might too restrictive, as the Follow command in scripting is useful for i...

Re: Does Myth TFL/SB/tools Under "Classic Mode" on OSX work?
Apparently some iMac 800 mhz machines can only boot into OSX.. mine hasn't arrived yet.. hope it can do OS9 when it gets here. I would be surprised if any of them don't boot into OS X, as I have a G3 iMac happily running OS X.4. Indeed the 10.5 installer should even let you install to any G4 machin...

Re: Walking over and under models...
There are two possible ways to do this: 1. Cheat! By simply replacing the bridge with a custom model that is an enclosed walk-way, you can avoid the problem entirely by hiding the unit(s) shortly after they enter the walk-way, and making them re-appear at the other side after a suitable delay, as th...

Re: A very small map building help required
for the type of map this is, i wonder if a 1x1 submesh map would work. Ive never made anything this tiny though...might be a hoot. I'd volunteer for this pro bono, but by the time I got to it I thin your tourney would be over. Bar Room Brawl (which I totally need to finish v2 of), is 768 x 768 pixe...

Hell, I go AWOL for a few weeks and it turns out Renwood is a scummy thieving fraudster on top of being a pain in the ass, I guess that means I should be around more

Re: Valve coming to Mac Platform?
I enjoyed Half-Life 2. I only played the first one after HL2 came out. I figured, I best play the first before I try it. It seems fun enough, but on the XBox 360 version of Half Life 2 you can't seem to change the field of vision, which is a problem as it gives me horrible motion sickness, which I'...

Re: The seventh god, strange days
Doesn't the plugin come with a walkthrough for both RPG levels? They're actually both pretty simple, but figuring out where to go next is a pain. I don't remember how to do them though, just that I managed it eventually.

Re: HD Label Misuse
You can watch a black and white movie in High Def if it was shot with an HD camera. Actually most black-and-white films (or most films period) in existence are shot on analogue film, so they can easily be encoded into 1080p etc. with the right equipment. Some older film-reels won't look any better,...

Re: HD Label Misuse
All HD means is high-definition, it's a purely subjective thing as it's up to you what you consider low-definition, and by comparison high-definition. IMO a movie isn't high-definition unless it's at least 800,000,000 pixels x 450,000,000 pixels

Is the unit-control definitely not triggering? It seems more likely that it's projectile isn't getting created for some reason perhaps?

I like scripting, it's my favourite part personally, but then I am a programmer.
I won't be helping though, no time as it is

Re: DO IT>>> :)
Har they have keyboard hookup accessories coming. No need for touch. Yeah IPAD sounds a little Menstrual. I agree with VR How many people are going to bother with those when the on-screen keyboards are free? I quite like the iPhone one, despite it's awkward size, so the one on the iPad ought to be ...

Re: DO IT>>> :)
Besides which, I'm still unconvinced that touch-controls would do much justice to the Myth control scheme, just as with the iPhone (which also has screen-size as an issue); at the minimum you need camera forward, back, and orbit left/right, this could possibly be done by the accelerometer, but I'd e...
