So it turns out I have the 32 bit version of libXtst, but I still can't run the (enhanced) installer. I'm not sure what the equivalent of the ia32-libs package is in portage. I'm running into this on a 64bit gentoo machine. Not sure how to install that lib, I have most of the x86 emul packages..

Would it be useful to put together a 64 bit installer? I'll post here if I figure out how to get that library on Gentoo (via portage).

So I ended up just downloading glu32.dll and sticking it into the myth2 folder. Things seem to be working.

Once I get into game it runs at like 1 fps. Not sure what hosed it. I've ran myth on this machine before.

Edit: restart fixed it, maybe it was using D3D or something.

So just to summarize: 1.7 versions don't work via wine for me. Can't find GLU32.dll.

Confirmed that it seems to stop working with the 1.7 versions, sticking with 1.6 for now.

So myth 2 old works, but it asks for a cd (which I no longer have, I left it at my parents years ago ). I'll poke around with different versions.

Hmm, not sure. definitely trying 1.7.2 public beta 2, but the other .exes are just called myth II and myth II old, looks like maybe version 1.7.1?
