I tried a search and didnt come up with anything, however, when I start up myth TFL with the beta patch, it says "the Myth TFL beta has expired" and doesn't let it start up. What can I do? i have tried 2 times, reinstalling fresh off the cd and updated to 1.5 like it says.
If there is no fix, where can I find older patches?
Steve

Oh, to clarify, this is on a Windows 2000 system. I'd be playing it on my Mac but I need to snag a copy of OS 9.2 so X will run in classic mode. I only have 8.6 and every time I try to launch the original installer (with the intent to upgrade after it's installed) X tells me I suck and need to get 9.2. Curses!
Yes, I am too lazy to boot in 8.6 and install it there.

Argh. Two systems. One a Mac B&W G3 with OS X on it that I don't use too much. I don't have OS 9.2 so it won't pop into classic mode to run the original Myth installer (I am ignorant of how to install Myth some other route... just drag the CD to the desktop or something?) so I can install it and then update/patch it to 1.5 for OS X.
Thus, I have been wanting to play some Mythage on my PC running Windows 2000. When I tried to load it up after a bit of a hiatus it told me the patch I'd been using had expired. I saved the older 1.4 or 1.3 (one of those) as a renamed .exe file and tried using that--same result, beta expired. I tried using the updated installers linked from this thread to see if that'd magically work--same result, beta expired.
Thus, I am wondering if there's some hidden file or registry entry that tells the .exe that it is expired. That's the only thing I can surmise since I have tried three different .exe versions/patches. It seems to be checking to see whether or not it is expired by looking elsewhere than internal to the .exe.
Thus, my query.
