Hey folks. Just got back to Myth ll after a couple year hiatus. In the old days I always played solo because of lowspeed dial-up and only having one computer.

Now we have DSL and three machines, so my son and I have been playing multiplayer on our home network. This works fine against each other, but I haven't been able to set up a coop game.

Either machine can host when playing against each other. I seem to have everything set up correctly, ports opened, etc, but in coop the host machine has control of the characters and the machine that joins can only watch. One Mac (OS 10.4.2) and one PC (XP home).

Anybody have a nice, step-by-step guide for setting up a coop game? I figure I just have something set wrong, but don't have the experience to figure it out.

Thanks-Bill

Your already there. All you have to do is select the units you want to give to the other player, and press \. Those units will be detached to the other player.

Good Luck.

Hey, thanks man. Worked perfectly. Who knew a simple " \ " could be so powerful...

The " \ " key is the default method for dispatching units to other persons on your team. In multiplayer, the same " \ " can be used to dispatch units to your teamates.

Hehe, he gets the ports figured out, the ip addresses, and stumbles on detach, that's classic ;)

Now that you have DSL, you should try joining the existing community for a few games too. There's lots of coop being played if that's your primary interest. check out www.playmyth.net for details if you haven't already.
