Zeph said that the "Initial Velocity" of a unit's attack has the unit
WORLD UNIT / TICK
what means
1 square in Loathing per 1/30 second
Has the Min./Max. Range of a unit's attack the unit "Square in Loathing" ?
Is the units base speed in "worldunit per tick" ?
(I think its not, a bowman goes more than 0.81 square in a whole second...)
confusing....

You could set a projectile to go 1 world unit then place a warrior body on the ground and place the projectile firing unit at the feet of the dead warrior then fire the projectile and see how the projectile distance compares to the height of the warrior which is I bet pretty close to 6ft. As long as there is no wind and no variance of distance for the projectile you should get a workable #.Gamer wrote:Ok...
The problem is I really need this Informations about the MEASUREMENT
in Myth II.
Does somebody know the adress of somebody who worked on MYTH II, who knows all about that?
Please help me with this!

Lots of Myth stuff at http://mythgraveyard.org.
Sometimes I put hard to find stuff in my my Udogs folder.

Most Units in Myth II cant walk over a hill.
This is defined in FEAR where you can change the number
( 1 is full speed, 0.5 is half speed, 0 cant pass the hill)
There are two types of Slopes in FEAR, "Slope 1" and "Slope 2".
What acclivity have "Slope 1" and "Slope 2" ? ( in % )
THX for your ANSWERS!

The Base Movement Speed is how fast the unit moves normally.
The number in the Speed box of each of the terrains determines the fraction of the Base speed that unit moves over the terrain. 1 is full speed, .5 is half speed, 0 means they can't move at all, as you said - or if the terrain is not checked, that monster can't walk on that terrain either.
I'm not sure what you mean by Slope 1 and Slope 2, though. In Fear there's Sloped and Steep, just different grades of slope.

The cake is a lie.
It isn't a hard and fast rule, a mapmaker can mark any terrain as 'sloped' or 'steep' - even if it's flat ground. Some mapmakers don't even use those terrains and just use the ground type terrains (grass, rocky, marsh, water) and walking-impassable and flying-impassable.Gamer wrote:I need to know how steep "steep" and "sloped" are,
for example 30 % acclivity or something!?!
For your game purposes you should probably just decide what acclivity _you_ think works in the context of the game.

ok thx,
ive got a last question to the "Initial Velocity Error" which is added or subtracted to the Velocity.
Bowman has for example 0.008 as "Initial Velocity Error". Is it ALWAYS 0.008 which is added or subtracted OR is it AT MOST 0.008 ( so random between -8 and ???
hope you understand what I mean and answer!
