model importer

Post by tucho »

How I can import 3d models like houses, walls, etc in Myth II?

I use PC and windows and all the tools that I found are for mac.

Thank you in advance :)

i'm afraid your best bet is likely to be to get an old mac running os9 or an emulator that emulates a PPC mac and install os9 on that.

You could pick up an old PowerPC (G4) Mac for probably $50 or less that would way more than meet the requirements for the old Myth II mac tools.[/b]

You get a G3 even cheaper but if you want to transfer files easily between the two (flash/jump drive) I think the G4s were the first Macs to all have USB ports.
Lots of Myth stuff at http://mythgraveyard.org.
Sometimes I put hard to find stuff in my my Udogs folder.

Yeah, but as long as it isnt old world (biege), it will have USB.

There is as an emulator for OS 9 called sheepshaver. Search on the forums here for it, it seems to be working well for a number of people.

I wasn't sure if the differences in the vast # of different G3 models available would be clear to a non-Mac person, so I opted for the simplest criteria between USB haves and USB have-nots I could think of. If you include the black powerbook G3s as the laptop equivalent of 'old world (beige)' I imagine your rule works too.

Speaking of old macs I have about 20 G3 Beige in the 300Mhz class, with no HD, KB, Mouse or Monitors that anyone is welcome to.
Although I live in Alaska so shipping might me a chore.
