.smk cutscenes

Hey folks,

I just remembered Jinn got cutscenes in .smk, and tsg probably to. Now I'm talking about it anyway, where's is the cutscene for the first secret level in m2? Is there any way to convert those files to quicktime so I could view them on macosx?

Hey, I have a nice lossless conversion of the secret level cutscene, I'd throw it up here down download, but I don't know if Myrd and company have other plans.

That package doesn't contain the secret level cutscene (3a.smk). It's possible there aren't any original assets for that one (it's just a brief slideshow of a couple static pics IIRC); I'm not sure why else they would have left it out.

I've added the missing cutscenes to the main Quicktime cutscenes download (with Jon God's permission) on The Tain.

On topic, anyone know any other plugins that use .smk cutscenes, besides GB and TFL?

No, I'm only aware of the chimera, jinn, tfl and gb cutscenes. Maybe TSG had cutscenes but I can't remember or find them. Somehow I also lost the .smk jinn cutscenes.

Well, I have the JINN intro and GB cutscenes converted, working on the JINN outro and the Chimera credits, lemme know if you find anything.

I found 2 files called camfire.gor and gofc2TFL.gor . Does fallen levels have cutscenes to?

You can just grab the "cutscenes.gor" file from your TFL CD and place it in your cutscenes folder. This way you can see cutscenes when playing the fallen levels.

As long as you are using the PC version, or the Mac PPC build.
