So i've changed my OS to vista and I installed myth2 on it , dl 1.7 and installed it in desired folder ...... When I run Myth2.exe screen blinks (black for a second) and then comes back ... In short myth is not running on my windows VISTA :/

Try updating your graphics driver. Find out which graphics card you have or if it is integrated. This might be the page for your laptop. Towards the bottom there is a Video section with two downloads. One is for an ATI driver and the other for an Intel driver. Make sure you find out which one your laptop uses before picking. Then download it and update your drivers. You might need to restart the laptop afterwards. If that doesn't help copy/paste the contents of your myth_log found in your Myth II folder. It might say something useful. Then try installing 1.7 classic and see if that works better for you.
