I just tried to fire up Myth TFL 1.5 for the first time in months, and it failed. The screen just blinked, and then went back to the Finder. This is what the myth log said:
2009-11-21 16:37:19
Myth: TFL Build 264 running under MacOS 1062 ----------------------------------------------
Error: Out of Memory in screen_macintosh_gworld.c, line #155: Unable to open the background window!
handle_error: exiting with code 8
The only thing I can think of that's changed since the last time I successfully played it is when I upgraded to Snow Leopard. Is there a problem with Snow Leopard and TFL?
MacBook, OS X 10.6.2, 2GB RAM, Intel GMA X3100 video card.
P.S. I've already tried all the standard fixes: restarting, fresh user, prefs delete, etc.

Re: TFL 1.5 not launching
It is possible that TFL does not run under Snow Leopard. I know for a fact that Snow Leopard breaks some other older games (such as Fallout).
I've not personally tried TFL under Snow Leopard, however.
You should be able to play The Fallen Levels under Myth II 1.7, which does run under Snow Leopard.

Re: TFL 1.5 not launching
I was trying to use TFL 1.5 to play some old TFL .gor plugins, which haven't ever been ported to M2 as far as I know. Is it possible to get those to work in M2?

Re: TFL 1.5 not launching
Not easily, someone would have to port them.
After Myth II 1.7.1 is out, I can take a look at maybe releasing TFL 1.5.1 for Mac that works on Snow Leopard - as a minor update that fixes the specific issue preventing it from launching (assuming its easy to fix).

Re: TFL 1.5 not launching
I just tried TFL 1.5 on an iMac running Snow Leopard, and it worked fine.
Maybe it's an issue with the Intel GMA X3100 video card in the MacBook? Diablo II also stopped working after the Snow Leopard update because of changes to the driver for that card.
