Myth II 1.7 crashes at mariusnet

Dear all:

How are you? Hope you are doing well. Good to see Myth gameplay continuing.

As per the subject line, I am getting crashes when about to start a multiplayer game on mariusnet. Any suggestions other than removing and reinstalling? Below please find my system info. Thank you.

In your Myth II folder should be a myth_log txt file. It resets each time you load Myth. So if the last time you ran Myth you crashed at Mnet, then copy/paste its contents here. If you ran Myth again afterwards, then go open Myth and make it crash. Then copy/paste its contents. It might have info we need to figure your problem out.

Thanks for the quick reply, Pyro. Crashes on individual game play as well. Here's the log.

That is odd. So you are trying to load an old 1.3 saved game (01a02) and Patch 1.4 and 1.5 are not loading for that saved game. Try starting a fresh single player game and see if that works fine. Now show me what the log says when you try playing online.

Delete or temporary rename your "preferences" folder within your Myth II folder. It is possible some pref file is causing issues. If you don't mind redoing your settings then delete the pref folder. If you rather keep some sort of setting rename it for now for this test. Run Myth afterwards and check if it will crash.

Is this an old Myth folder you recently updated to 1.7? Maybe its a graphics card driver issue. What is your graphics card and are the drivers up to date?

Hi. Tried renaming preferences but it didn't work. Will have to see if there is an update for the driver, an NVIDIA GeForce 2 MX/MX 400. My driver date is 4/7/2004, version 5.6.7.3 from Microsoft.
