I just started playing Myth I and II again recently and realized Myth III had a Mac demo. The problem is (I think), the demo came out so long ago that no link I can find works anymore.
I enjoy the Myth games a lot, so if anyone knows a link to the Myth 3 Mac demo that still works or someplace where the entire game is for sale (preferably cheap, the Mac version is on Amazon.com for $50 new), I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Or don't even bother. Myth 3 never held up compared to the first two titles. It's maybe worth playing through once, but the multiplayer community for it is literally non existent, so beyond playing the campaign a couple of times it doesn't have much value.
If you can source the actual Demo, don't judge it too hard. I know it was riddled with _tons_ of bugs... many but not all of which were fixed for the final.
The general concensus on Myth 3 from the Myth Community is that it feels completely rushed and unfinished. Which is ultimately the truth, Mumbo Jumbo were crunched by a release date, and some bugs and general atmospheric elements just couldn't be dealt with in time. Consequently it feels like a Myth clone, but not a Myth game itself. Mine and a few others 2 cents.

I checked Ebay and the copies they have are actually more expensive than Amazon.
If I had heard good things about Myth 3, then I would probably just buy the game and forget the demo, but instead the general consensus is what you say, that it didn't live up to the reputation of the first two games. That's why I'm hoping for a link to the demo. If it's pretty good, then I wouldn't be totally against buying the game, even if I had to shell out a few bucks more than usual (with the understanding that this site would be a place to find more content and patches).

This site will not be a source of many _new_ plugins, and never any _new_ patches. Whatever the latest build is, was released at least 4 years back now.
Have you tried torrents? As I said before, the Demo was far more bugged than the final (which was still bugged), so even if you DID find a copy of the demo, it would be a very poor example of what the final product is like, and probably not help you much on decision making.

Thanks, Jon God, have it downloaded and working (with the patch from this site).
Graydon, I meant that anything on this site would be "new" potential content to me because I haven't had the game to try it.
