Myth Collector's Edition

Post by FlawlessCowboy »

Hi folks,

I was one of the lucky few who managed to snag a copy of the Myth Collector's Edition in the Bungie Swag Bag sale last year:

Image

As much as I love this - it truly is one of my proudest possessions - my wife is pregnant and I'm moving house so need to look for ways to raise cash, so I'm considering selling it. Before throwing it to the eBay wolves I thought I'd come here and see if there was any interest.

I have previously been offered $1800 and to be honest, would be looking for a little more than that. I've seen the box - without contents - sell on eBay for $265. I'm based in the UK (Chester) and would be willing to meet if someone wanted to check the contents before buying.

This is the Collector's Edition of Myth The Fallen Lords by Bungie, limited to 22 - this is numbered 18. Included is the Big-Box version of the game (sealed), T-shirt, Poster, OST CD (sealed), Christmas Cards, all in a large Bungie & Myth branded wooden crate.

Would anyone be interested?

I'll give you 50 bucks for it.

Seriously though, if that $1800 offer is still open, I'd take it if I were you. Seems like a hell of a lot of money for what is essentially a wooden box and some trinkets. Especially in this economy.

But what do I know, maybe there is someone out there with way too much money who just loves Myth collectors items.

Either way, good luck to you!

Agreed with Melekor; very nice set but that offer is >10x more than I'd pay for it even though I love Myth :) So I'd suggest maybe you ask the guy who offered $1800 if that's still open.

Hopefully whoever offered $1800 isn't planning on using the proceeds from that ebay sale of that low# mariusnet account.

ps.That IS a really kewl boxed set. I'd match the current offers of $50 plus I can throw in an autographed copy of "The Myth 2 Handbook", heck I'll even throw in 2 copies.

Is this by chance the same Flawless Cowboy who worked on Myth at Bungie?

Seriously?? It couldn't be actually worth more than $180. The box alone looks like an afternoon's worth.

I mean it's a cool item and all, but wow. I can't believe you didn't take the $1800.
Okay I got the models but now I'm too dumb to do anything with 'em

No, I'm not from Bungie. I think Jaime Greisemer did use FlawlessCowboy as his tag back in the mists of time, I think he did QA on Myth? So maybe it appears in the game? It's one of the chapter names in Halo.

There was a lot of excitement surrounding it when the swag bags were being given out last year, plus there was only 22 of them ever made so they are crazy-rare. I'd had a few offers over $1000 on Bungie.net last year via PM. Annoyingly I can't access my PM box though as I've changed my GamerTag which mean I can no longer access my old PMs on B.net. :?

I might hold on to until Bungie announce what their next project is, maybe there'll be a bit more demand for it then.

Wow sweet item you got there. What exactly was a "Swag Bag" and where how did a person get one?

Is there any chance you could take more pics of each of the items in the boxed set?

If I was rich I would buy that bad boy!
