What's it take to set up an autohost?

Post by Jestrel »

I'm really glad to see autohosts running the more traditional Myth maps, but I have a library of plugins burning a hole in my pocket. I'd love to get an autohost cycle going of things like TFL maps, slugfests and maybe some of the lesser played Total Codex maps. Can someone give me an idea of what I need to do to get that started?

Hold shift when clicking New Game in multiplayer (which will change to an Autohost button).

Possibly dumb question: Could I set up a Raspberry Pi as an always-on autohost? (Probably too slow?) Other dumb question: To play Myth on Linux, is there a physical disk you need to buy from Amazon? (presumably?)

For Linux, you can use any of the existing Myth2 CDs even the Windows/Mac disc. But there is a Linux Myth2 CD by Loki, but you don't need it if you got the other. As for the Raspberry Pi, I think someone mentioned it in this other post.
