Hi, I have Loki's port of Myth II to Linux, and I've been trying to install the OS X binaries, but the installer doesn't recognise the Loki CD as a Myth II CD. I imagine that the resource files required for the game are the same regardless of the operating system, so does anyone know if it's possible to work around this problem?

Sadly, the Myth app itself has also been updated and we have as yet been unable to get a Linux version out. Sorry :(

If you're trying to install it on Mac OS X, using the Linux CD, it should be straight forward.

Get the manual installer, then make a folder called Myth II somewhere on your harddrive, find the folder called "tags" on the CD, copy it into the Myth II folder. Then, move the "metaservers" folder and the Myth II 1.5 application from the manual installer to the Myth II folder, and make a "plugins" folder there as well, and put all the Patches from the manual installer in there. After doing this, you should be good to go.

Thanks!! This worked great. I just had to change the permissions on the tags directory so that the cache file could be created.
