Myth TFL 1.4 crashes - Perhaps the cutscenes?

I'm attempting to run Myth TFL with the 1.4 update on my OS X 10.3.5 install. It crashes at the beginning unless I frantically hit escape, in which case I get to the main menu. After that, I can start the game, listen to the Crow's Brigde intro and there's a crash. I never get to any actual playing.

The mythlog.txt contains identical lines like this:

The CD is in the drive. I am at a loss as to what can be causing this.

Is the TFL directory you are trying to update working when you play 1.3 using classic in it? Also was initial installation a full install?

It's a full install. I can play it if I boot up in OS 9. It is updated. The problem is running it in OS X 10.3.5

I have also seen this problem is permissions get set wrong on the Myth directory and Myth can't get write permission for something it needs to.

chmod -R 777 Myth\ I\ -\ The\ Fallen\ Lords/

It didn't help :/ thanks anyway! Any other ideas?

You can download Myth TFL v1.4.5 which does not have the problem you are describing. The problem stems from a bug in cutscene code under version 1.4.

Ironically, my boot drive (the games are on another) died today, so it'll be a while before I can do proper testing. Waiting for a new drive as I write this (from school).
