Here is a site for some Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale units. The problem is the angle is a bit off which can be fixed in PS when you index it for ambering.

Here are some Diablo 1 units, some of which have been ambered by oogabooga, Tarous Zars, and someone else I believe. Project Generico is the tagset with them, I believe.

I think there might be a Diablo 2 site somewhere(I'll look on the web and see if I can find it), if not I have a program that can pull the chopped up units into more usable bmp's for amber, but it's buggy. With all the mods for D2 you probably could find any unit you could ever want, but you'd still need to amber it. I think there is even a middle earth mod for D2 if you can find it on the web. If/when Oak comes out, I will go nuts creating collections for all kinds of stuff.

Since the animations don't appear to be free (at least the ones I looked at didn't have any free servers offering the files) I can't confirm if the files are a single attack animation or contain multiple sequences - but for a fully functional myth II unit one would need more than the single attack animation. At a bare minimum you'd need animation from the 8 different angles for move, attack, and death.
ps. How could you use PhotoShop to change the _angle_ a 3D model (unit) was rendered at once it's been flattened to 2D in an animated gif?

Sorry forgot you have to register for that site, it's free(although you can pay for faster downloads). Most of those from baldur's gate have diff angles and sequences. I also forgot that you need a program called sixdice for some of the filetypes if they don't have them uploaded in bmp or animated gif.
hmmm.... I never thought to use it that way - would it really give suitable results - e.g. would it really look like the image capture was done from a different angle?ChrisP wrote:One way is: Edit --> Transform --> Perspectiveps. I understand the concept of changing the perspective, I just think there are differences in what parts of a 3D model are visible when the original render is done that slanting the 2D image isn't going to be able to magically make visible. Is it a case of "if the rendered camera angle is close enough to the myth camera angle most people wouldn't notice the PS perspective shift"?

If you can't get sixcide to run, then your out of luck getting .dcc files converted to .bmp. But if you get it running you just have to go to Image>Batch Convert, then select the folder the .dcc file is in(it will convert ALL .dcc files). Also make sure you select .dcc as the source type, .bmp as the target file type and Units as the palette type.
As for perspective issue--all perspective or skew does is alter the apparent camera height, so that the shot looks like it was taken from higher or lower angle to match myth's; and this shouldn't have any issue at all with parts of the model being hidden or covered with the small adjustment.

Amber is a mac only program and I have a pc, so I can't help you with that, sorry. If you have a mac I'm sure people here will give you intsructions for creating a collection.
