You mean the blue bar message? I think its just pointless because all parties concerned publicly state we're 'leaving it in the past where it belongs' or something to that regard.Cobalt 7 wrote:Man playmyth is being condascending. I agree about top of the tree. Subordinates are harder to judge though - if they realize they have no influence over it but can at least try to solve SOME problems in a state of power....this is like the whole 'I was too scared of Hitler not to be a Nazi' debate. I'm too lazy to argue this out, that arguments been raging since 1945.Doobie wrote:Well, obviously the people ultimately in charge agree or it would be changed, and presumably the subordinates of those people agree as well, or, if they felt strongly about it they would bring about change, or leave.

The bluebar message about backups seemed a little barbed and unnecessary to me as well (and very petty). The dig at mariusnet isn't exactly a community builder, but on the other hand no one said the announcements on playmyth have to be. Offhand, I can't recall whether Playmyth's mission statement has anything about "encouraging people to play myth wherever they please" or not.Cobalt 7 wrote:Man playmyth is being condascending. It's funny but it wasn't until I read this thread that I even thought of connecting the blue bar message to Mariusnet's recent problems. What is the point of going over and over something a stupid as a blue bar message?vinylrake wrote:The bluebar message about backups seemed a little barbed and unnecessary to me as well (and very petty). Hail PPE, sorry to hear about the power supply. A few of us still enjoy that nostalgia factor that Mnet carries. There was to be a get together of a few uDogs, FoGs and similar Mnet Alumni on your server last weekend, but sadly we had to defer to PMnet to beat each other up.PrplPplEater wrote:I honestly don't even know why I keep Mnet going except that I was asked to.
But you used the Nazi analogy in an online discussion which according to my Netiquette manual (circa 1992) automatically cancels out anything you have to say in this thread. The Elfoid wrote:I meant within the administration of the playmyth camp Will.
