Greatings!
I've tried to install Myth TFL on my new Comp ( A64-3500, 1024 MB Ram, GeForce6800). Installation is no problem, but it is impossible to start the thing... There is a message, that i wouldn't have enough free memory to start the game... I've read, that there are certain probs with 1024+ MB Ram-Systems. Pleeeeeease, say me, that there is a hope left! I love this game, it was love on the first sight, and I've played it for at least five times through on my old machines... I want to see the headless Balor again!
Thanks!

What version are you using? The 1.5 Beta and later solve that issue.

Note: The current TFL 1.5 beta has expired. I'll be updating the TFL project page shortly once I get some issues ironed out with the TFL windows build.

Balor,
While it is true that you can download the new version of TFL, you can also try this in the interim:

TFLpatch v1.0 by Capital last modified 08/18/2004
Tired of seeing following error message when you try to play Myth TFL?
"Myth does not have enough free memory or swap space to launch. Try closing any other applications you have open or freeing up of hard drive space and trying again."
Well, TFLpatch will fix this issue.
What is TFL patch?
TFLpatch allows users with one gigabyte of RAM to now play Myth TFL v1.3 without getting the above mentioned error message.
Who should use TFLpatch?
Users who have one gigabyte of RAM installed should use this program.
Note: Users with less than one gigabyte of RAM may benefit from using TFLpatch depending upon whether they receive the error message described above.
How do I use TFLpatch?
Using TFLpatch is easy. Just place the file called “TFLpatch.exe†in the main Myth TFL folder (e.g. the folder that contains the Myth TFL game).
Now double click the TFLpatch, which will automatically launch Myth TFL.
Every time you wish to play Myth TFL, you will need to launch the game using TFLpatch, so you might find it helpful to make a shortcut to TFLpatch on your desktop, or Start Menu Program group.
Terms of use:
While every attempt has been made to make this program free of errors, there still is the possibility that things on your computer could go wrong. The author of TFLpatch has tested this program on three systems that have one gigabyte of RAM, each computer successfully launched Myth TFL using TFLpatch. There is one reported case in which a system with 1.5 gigabytes of RAM, where Myth TFL was not successfully launched.

I think you missed the point of the warning, it said "free memory" find someone to give you some RAM and you should be fine. 1GB of RAM? Holy COW... That would hold like 1000 _different_ unit collection tags.

Thanks for the help! I've got it at last, and now I have a little teetime with some nice bloody Myrmidons near Bagrada
I just love this game!
Ok, I miss my old Voodoo2 a little bit, but the mainthing is that it works finally.
Is there no possibility to get Direct3D-support for Myth TFL?

I think you missed the point.
If a TFL user's computer HAS one gig of RAM, they will most likely will get a message reporting they DON'T have enough free memory. The message is erroneous, as such, TFLpatch allows a computer w/ one gig of ram to successfully run TFL.
