Greetings!

My new problem: After Myth TFL is running now perfectly, I tried Myth 2.
But there appeared a strange problem: If I begin the game, there is a relatively low framerate (around 20-30 fps). After some time, the framerate goes down to around five to ten and the game is completely unplayable. There is also a extreme delay in the mousecommandos (about two seconds, it takes to move the mouse or until it accepts a click).
I've installed the official patch 1.3 and tried both 3D-accelerated and software mode, without improvement.
My system is a A64-3500, 1024 MB Ram, GF6800. I've played Myth 2 the last time on a 2100+, 512, GF4200 and it worked perfectly, so I don't think it's a WindowsXP problem.
Anyone an idea?

Thanks!

Have you tried OpenGL rendering? (its an option to increase your FPS)

Have you tried toggling "Use DirectInput" ? (to help with ur mouse problems)

Are these options just available with the 1.5 patch? 'cause I can't find them (I've unfortunately the german version 1.3). But under 3dfx with a wrapper its also very strange: There, the keyboard shows a strange delay-time, not the graphics itself... And it's also during the cutscenes! Strange things are happening...
Or shall I download the 1.5 patch? With my old 56kb-Modem it's a serious question! :)

These options are only available in 1.5.0+

Oooookay! It works now without the cruel delays. I've installed the 1.3 patch and used the Win98-compatibility-mode. Now it's playable, but the framerate is veeeery low (between 15 and 20).

Download the 1.5.1 Public beta, and see if your framerate increases using openGL rendering.

15 megs isnt too bad on a modem, let it download while you have breakfast or something...

If there is really hope to increase the framerate, so I'll take this sacrifice on my shoulders :;):
And if it doesn't work ... then be prepared for my dreadfull fury  :)
Thanks!

Yeah! It works almost perfectly now! Ok, framerate isn't as fluently like under win98, but it's just fantastic!

Great, great, great work, boys! :)

Thanks a lot!!!
