Yo yo.
I've got, right here, a PC version of Myth III, and would like to use it on my mac. Of course, I can't do that, because the install is only for PC.
I'm thinking of trying and copying the tags folder onto my computer, then get a patch for Mac, and use it. So that I don't have to use the original PC .exe.
Of course, even if that worked, there's another problem. I want to listen to the narrations (Haha, funny, I know) but I can't extract things from the "data.cab" files, where in I suspect is all the game files.
I've got the tags out, will this work?
Thanks

EDIT: I'm on OSX.
EDIT AGAIN: OS 10.2

No idea. But i DO know that my myth 3 cd has all the sound files in mp3 format in one of the folders. I dont know if that'd be different on PCs, but it shouldnt be..
Technically the tags theory should work, however they might be 'PC' tags... I sent some mac tags to a mac user, and it worked fine...

Like the fool that he is, Cid got distracted and gave up for the evening.
I believe our stumbling point is that - we can get 'LARGE.TAG' but the other necessary tags in are in .cab files, which we can't open on our Mac.
I'm not sure if it'll even open if we got the tags out - after all won't it ask for the CD?
If only stupid-ass MumboJumbo had done the Bungie thing and made it Mac+PC at the same time. Bungie rock.

You can do it, but its tricky. You have to install onto a PC first, and then copy your MythIII folder from your PC to your mac. It will then work.
I don't know how to do it otherwise.
Although, Considering you have a CD, I see no reason why I couldn't let you download the necessary tag files if you don't have a PC.

My stuffit doesn't open .cab files, and I couldn't find anything that works on 10.2.
Thanks, Will just got a stack of writable CDs, so it's liftoff.
