I hope this is the right forum...
I'm trying to set up the metaserver on my computer, but when I get to running the 'start_myth.sh' script, I get "error: Unable to initialize user database."
Now, I don't really have a clue what I'm doing and since this wasn't dealt with in the readme, I'm lost. Could anyone tell me what I can do?
Thanks,
Frodo
Myth metaserver - Help would be appreciated
My guess is you need to create a user database file, with at least a single user (like say yourself) with the editor of your choice and put it where the metaserver is looking for it. It has the location of the user database somewhere in the code itself, but I don't have it in front of me so I can't tell you exactly.

Just for kicks and giggles, I've been playing with the metaserver. I got one running sortof. to get past that error i typed 'bin/userd_new -b'
This initialised a new user and order database albiet empty ones. I then ran 'start_myth.sh' and was able to login to my server, (sometimes, i've had issues and am still playing with it.)
