I have a problem with Freedom 1. All the levels work okay except the last level "Hobard". I have tried it on Myth 2 1.5.2 Build 273, 1.5.1, and 1.4.3. What happens is, when it is almost finished loading, it quits the game completely!!!

What does it say in Myth_log.txt after this happens?

That's been a problem for quite a while now (I can't remember who exactly was having the problem), but Will couldn't figure out how to fix it. The idea of extracting that one level and everything needed for it was put forward, but I don't think Will got around to doing that.
I'll talk to him about getting a fix done on it again, next time I see him in person.
While you wait, play Freedom 2. It has some cool fe - oh wait!
I think Freedom 2 had a problem as well. Some of the single player levels crash on PC due to some shit he put in the scripting. I can't remember if this was fixed with 1.5.2... but he's made a 2.1 patch anyway, we just need to upload it somewhere.
If our new level is like this, we need to rethink the way we make maps. :/

Okay, I just took a look at it, and it will no longer crash in the next build of 1.5.2 beta. Have fun!

You are a saint!
Too bad Tornberry's not around for this news.

Like we needed those connectors on that level anyway.

You know what I'd really like to find out? Why it has worked for 3 years on the iMac I made the level on... and *never* on any computer outside of my house? It even worked on my PC! Hahah.

I've forgotten the website of the latest build...
Also does CPU type affect anything?

So is there a solution to the problem? I thought Freedom I was great and was massively dissapointed when it "Unexpectadly" quitted Myth 2. I don't know if this affects anything, but I'm using a G5 iMac with 1.5 GB of memory.

thetain.net currently has the latest build of 1.5.2 (276, I believe) and I guess that's the one Myrd was talking about. Download it, and crank up the last level.
By the way, it sounds like I'm talking into a bucket because I am.

Cid... connectors? Last level? I honestly don't recall there ever being any!
*EDIT*
Oh yeah. The barricade to Hobard's chamber... um. But those are standard fence connectors right there, no crazy shit going on.

There were a LOT of them. And they were very... knotted up.

OF COURSE it was notted up! It's a barricade, it was supposed to be impenetrable! What would it be like if Scotty Freedom and his pals fought their way through the entire campaign only to 'hop' over a little fence?
No. BIG BARRICADES = tangled and buggy connectors.
In all seriousness, I'll try better next time.

Coming back to the actual subject of this thread. In Build 276 it works completely fine. And "Hobard" is one of the best levels I've seen.
Congrats!
