I've put up with Myth on my old TiBook as long as I can.
Tonight it finally gave up the ghost and crashes way too often. I'm not gonna replace the logic board when I have this nice shiny MacBook Pro here.
Myth II still runs like sludge even with build 277.
Can somebody (anybody) hack up a working build of a Universal Binary? I'm in an urgent need now because it now jeopardizes my chance to play in MWC (because it plays so poorly). You can skip the cutscene stuff and just make it work for multiplayer or whatever. I just want to be able to play in MWC on my MacBook Pro.
This just sucks. I hope someone gives me a better reply than "don't hold your breath".

P.S.: I did load up Windows XP on here. Myth plays nicely on it but my Apple USB modem isn't supported. I can't go online unless I sink more money into another modem just for XP. Ridiculous.

Maybe I missed another thread but why can't you play on the Macbook? What OS?

Technically, I can play, but performance is really crappy, and lobby and pregame chat is hit or miss on character input at best.
Some of the Magma guys blame Rosetta (OSX emulation layer or something), but Myth III runs great.
OSX 10.4.6, but all flavors of OSX for Intel macs run the same.

If you read this topic you might get an idea about a UB. Reporting details about M2's performance on an Intel Mac can help. Unfortunately there are mixed reports of M2's performance on an Intel Mac...

Scratch, wait for Myrd or CIK to get back to you (and mb message them if they don't). They're the ones who'd do the UB conversion, so its their opinion you need not anyone else's.

A UB conversion is in the works, but I think it'll be a long and hard job and won't be ready for MWC. But that's just my opinion.

For now, I just have to tote an external keyboard and plug 'er in.
