Starting a LAN game?

Post by Bischofftep »

Hello!

Very much appreciate the effort to make a Universal Binary for Myth II! Nice work, folks!!

Now that I can RUN it on my other machine... I have no idea where my original manuals are (I moved twice since I bought the original...) and have no idea how to start a LAN game. I can get to the PlayMyth servers, no problem... but how does one start a local LAN game?

Any help appreciated!

When you start myth, and click on Multiplayer, You will see the fields to enter your Pmnet info on the right. Just to the right of the "Playmyth.net" logo is a grayed out TCP/IP logo. Give that a spank!

Aha, excellent! So obvious, and yet so... not obvious. :)

Second question though: I've got the plugin for "Mazzarin's Demise V" installed and activated for both myself and the player on the LAN... but we can't seem to find out how to PLAY it cooperatively over the LAN. Thanks again for the help!

Above the map list on the host options is a checkbox that says "Use Single Player Levels." While holding the shift key, smack that. You only have to hold the shift key the first time, after that it should appear when you just click the box (Think of it as being the same as clicking New Game on the main menu).
