since getting the civil war maps scripted is as likely as well me finishing this by tomorrow... I was wondering about a Multiplayer campaign ...
Does anyone know if this could work.....
Civil war.....
8 mulitplayer maps each map is a next battle... with each map having more and more must use vetrans units on it... thus when the first map ends.. thinking as a timed game if what ever units both sides have left carry over to the next mesh...
I was doing this in the coop for officers and such in a Warfare... but that was gonna be single player and must use vets is easier offline of course....
what happens to veterans when you rehost from one multiplayer mesh to the next ? what actions keep the veted units in the cue?
basically though this might become unballanced at times... it would kinda add resource management ie strat for a future fight.. and if next mesh works instead of one 50 minute civil war game it could be say 5 ten minute games on different meshes carrying the vets that survive to each battle...
anyway just a thought... and was wondering if it could work... on multiplayer as well as on coop...

any idea why when i have must use vetrans checked ... the units still show in game with no vets .... shouldnt they not appear if there are no vetrans in the pool of units.?

I think it just means those units are preferred for the veterans. i.e. if you have unit A and unit B of same type, but unit A has that checked, and there's only one veteran - it would go to unit A.
EDIT: Actually, I looked at the code - and this doesn't look accurate - it is made to work how you quoted. I think you may need to make the marker invisible for it to work, though.

got vets not to show up by selecting may use and must use...

level 22, with limbs like these uses a heron guard as a must use veteran for your information!

level 22 the dam is supposed to use VETs for several units in myth 2 set up... though they ran into the same thing I did if you simply just check VET the units show anyway.....
