Newly ordered Myth: Total Codex

Hiya,

I recently reordered the myth series - replacing an old copy that will no longer load due to scratches and whatnot - and I own a new intel-based mac. Will I be able to load and use it? I probably should have asked this question first...but, oh well...my excitement got the better of me. Thanks, in advance, for the help.

Yeah! There is a fancy UB and all...though its still in beta (in myth-land much is oft in beta, and you needn't worry). Its known as version 1.6 and can be nabbed over at http://www.thetain.net/TheTain.net.html

You may also need 1.5.1 (which you can get here), but I am not positive. Yay for returning mythers!

Yeah, Halig - as DA said (I think) it'll work fine but you'll want to add the latest "Patch" file: currently 1.5.1 is available and 1.6 is in beta but will be released soon(tm).

You need to download the "Myth II 1.6-Build 286 for any version" if you are using a brand new copy of Myth II.

ok then...thanks for the help, everyone...i'm gonna follow the instructions for the 1.6 upgrade when the goodness arrives (should only be a couple o' days now...yay).

BE SURE YOU HAVE MYTH II Soulblighter Installed! If you do not have Myth II Soulblighter already
installed, please install it from the installation CD that you purchased and then install the 1.5.1 update. You
do not need to apply any other update patches before upgrading to 1.5.1!

a) Download the Myth II 1.6.0 installer archive for your operating system from http://thetain.net/

b) Run the installer. It will place the appropriate files in their proper locations in
order to update your copy of Myth II to version 1.6.0.

I's assuming that this is the best way. I'll see you on the battlefield

I DL'd 1.5.1 and used it to install from the CD & then followed the 1.6 manual instructions...no problems - Myth 2 is up and running on my Intel iMac.

Thanks for the help. I'm gonna run through the solo-maps before I venture back onto playmyth. Damn, its good to be back!
