I am trying to install Myth II on a friend's computer, He is running Windows XP, I have burnt copies of the original disc on my computer (running Mac OS X). The burnt disc works on my computer, but doesn't work on his, the computer doesn't know there's a disc in the drive. Do you need the original install disc? Were there separate versions for Mac and Windows?, or is it all on the same disc.

Myth II CDs were hybreds that worked on both Macs and Windows. It is more likely something in the CD ripping and burning process on your Mac has somehow made it incompatible.
Another possibility is that your friend's computer's CD drive can't handle CDRs or CDR/Ws. Older ones have difficulties.

If you burnt it with OS X (and not toast or something) the problem edda just said will occur.

The disc was burnt using disk utility, I made a master copy first (.cdr file) then burnt the disk, everything is on the disc. Is there a way to manually install myth from a networked computer?
