cut-scene files

Don't happen to be available are they? My Myth II CDs have vanished into the ether (all 3 of them!) and I feel like having them back. Not the quicktime movies you can get, I mean copies I can actually load into the game. Anyone?

Just download the quicktime cutscenes, and wait for 1.7 to come out.

I know nothing about 1.7, so if it allows me to run them I didn't know :D

It does? I thought that was for Mac OSX users only since they can't run the old files?

Hmm. Could be. Well then, get a mac and 1.7.

Lol it would cost him less to buy a new Myth 2 cd, than it would to buy a Mac...

Dunno about that... He has to FIND a Myth2 CD. I've been trying to find a copy, new or used, of "Halo: Combat Evolved" for Mac for the last week. There's nothing online or in the shops in Auckland.

I have a Mac, but prefer to use my PC since it has a much better version of AIM and of MSN than anything available on a Mac, and I tend to run multiple programs at once. Plus I prefer my PC's mouse.

Myth CDs are not much on eBay. I feel I should own one so I'm gonna pick one up sometime when I have some pocket change to throw on it - I think I'll get Total Codex and Myth II Worlds...I have Mac and PC versions of Myth III somewhere and I'm pretty sure I have my Green Berets CD someplace...

I wouldn't recommend Worlds, as everything on it is a free download from udogs or The Tain or other community sites (except M2 itself, which will be on the Codex if you get that). If you don't have something on it, someone around here will have it--they're all well-known, high-quality plugs.

Total Codex is definitely worth buying though.

1.Why run AIM on a mac when you can run iChat or google chat?

2. You DO know Macs(OSX=Unix) these days actually run multiple programs? I usually have a half dozen running at a time (would have more but I have skimpy memory)

3. You do know that you can use ANY USB mouse with a mac that has USB (anything made after 2001) right? Ironically I am using a Microsoft mouse with my ancient G3 at this very moment.

Someone got a copy of worlds (I forget why) and gave it to me as "the myth guy" once. As with so many things I have lost it.

I just like the idea of having a CD with all those plugs on. Just to, you know, have a hard copy. Without going through the effort of burning stuff. If it didn't cost about $4 I'd not bother.

That's a point. I do infact run iChat but didn't think that through.

It's the fact that the MSN Messenger I run on my PC is far superior to the Mac version that matters to me.

You try telling my dad it's a good idea to switch mouse when there's no "need". He's not one for risk taking. He does know how to look after a Mac better than anyone I know and is pretty good on a PC but is too cautious at times too.

The Myth II Worlds extra 2 CDs not only do they have stuff that you can easily download at the Tain or some other site, but they have outdated plugins. Like the Seventh God, it has the old version where you had to replace Patch 1.3 to make it work. I have that.

I didn't know you were trying to run Microsoft software. If your primary criteria for what computer to use is which will run AIM and MSN Messenger better, than stick with a Windows PC, the Mac experience would be wasted on you and you don't deserve a Mac.

I am not talking brain transplant I am talking "unplug your PC mouse you like and see if it works on your mac".

Kensington optical scroll mice are < $15 USD in the local grocery store, I am sure they are cheaper online.

Cut scenes...

would be great if both mac and pc ran the movies in quicktime format so we could make plugs with new cutscenes... in one format...
