Problems with authorship/uploading

I sign in and want to upload a file, but it asks me to create an author profile, and then when I add myself again or whatever it tells me the name is taken etc. Plus I can't reupload a new version of my plugin. This is annoying any help?

This thread belongs in the Tain section. One possible reason for you issues is that you logged to the wrong account. I went to the Tain and looked at the authors list. I see you listed as "Generalx" while the name you are posting in is "GeneralX". Maybe that is the problem. From the member list I was able to find "GenX". So maybe you logged as GenX and made "Generalx" your author profile.
