White Screen of Doom

i run windowed mode in opengl.
i have amd64 dual core with 3 gigs ram. myth only running on 1 core
xp sp3. mythII 1.7 with high res textures
only happens on thaw (that i have tried)
havent tried direct3d because as far as i know that doesnt work in window mode on my pc
Running OpenGL at 800 x 600, 16 bit (VSync ON)
Starting mesh "Calm Before the Storm" with 1 plugin...
thaw
Quitting networked game...
Disconnecting from metaserver.
thats what my m2 log says about the game.

I blame Bone.
only happens on thaw (that i have tried)
Could you be a bit more specific what this means?

Monty, do you have "3D Fog" checked in your preferences? If so, turn it off and try that map again. Does it fix it?

Like Pyro said, it's probably the 3D Fog issue - where 3D Fog doesn't work under OpenGL on some systems. So turning that off in prefs should get rid of the problem.
What video card do you use, by the way?

Another way to test the same bug would be to load up Salvation _with_ fog on. Should provide the same white screen if it's the bug.

I encountered the White Screen of Doom on Salvation. De-selecting 3D Fog did the trick. Thank you!

Good news! Today we determined the cause of this bug, and it will be fixed in the 1.7.1 release.
