body appearing opposite way in soft death

so this must be another simple thing I'm overlooking....things that happen when so much time went by since last time I worked on myth....sigh
I created a unit, it dies with a soft death animation, and when it comes to the dead body transition, the body appears as if mirrored...
in the collection the sequence doesn't have he mirrored checked in....
but in the projectile of soft death it has in the flags (I copied this from regular myth units) the cannot be mirrored vertically and can be mirrored....
tried unchecking the can be mirrored but still, unit dies and body appears flipped
any ideas?

Is the unit left handed? (i.e. "left handed" fraction in fear is not 0?)

ah! didn't check, so it means that if I give units a possibility of being left or right handed by clicking that in fear, when they die they can go opposite ways?
is there a wat to solve that?

bring them up correctly and teach them the right path, so that when they die they will only die the *proper* way.

Don't know. If there isn't, then its possibly an engine bug that could be fixed. But I'd like to hear from other mapmakers to confirm that there's no way to make it work correctly from the tags side.

thanks, also I had a problem with some sounds, when several sounds are played at the same time they "disappear" and there's a silence left....
I checked the can use different channels thing....and cannot be restarted, but still they go silent...never happened before though...

Myrd is saying he will fix it if it is indeed a bug. Not that he already concluded it to be a bug. He wanted to know if the left handed value would help you, but after that you were unclear as to if that worked or not.

i know, i need to finish work first to be able to go home to check that...
I doubt it is a bug though...probably it's some stupid thing I forgot to change/check
though it's funny because I returned to tweaking things in a plug that worked, and now somehow not even attacks or sounds are working....
I must have done something that messed the whole thing....

I see, well I had gotten a different impression when you started your post with "thanks". Made it sound like you assumed he was going to fix something or something along those lines.

oh...no,
I know well enough that you never ass-u-me
I know something went fishy in the plugin and before burning my eyes trying to look for the trial and error thing of switching on - off every damn thing, maybe somebody had a more specific idea of "where" to go searching for the mistake....
soon enough WWII 2010 will be ready for trial....muahahahahahaha

I just did some investigating - and from what I can tell there's no support for this currently in the engine. I tried with some mauls, and the soft death proj that has the club visible (there's a few variations) doesn't honor the left-handedness of the maul that was alive.

so you mean that if you make monsters be right handed or left handed through the flag in the monster tag, then when they die, they can die either way without respecting their left right owner?
mmm, interesting,..
I guess I never realized because most monsters die not very differently on which hand they use...
I just did a monster that dies to the side....that's why it looked awkward....
hehe
I'll make them all right handed then!!!!

hey myrd, no bug at all,
I made all monsters have a right hand, and on top of that I had set up the dead body as some plugs to, 8 frames and 1 view...
somehow that drives the engine nuts. so I set it up with 1 frame & 8 views
with both things set up it seems to be working perfectly right...
the one thing that keeps annoying me is the sound...
I set up sounds to cannot restart and occupies multiple media, and still sometimes sounds disappear, specially when there's several sounds (like bullets) playing at same time...
does it has to be with a limit in the number of sounds myth can play at the same time?
