GIANT PARROT IN RELIC

At the end of the level, inside the giant tree of RELIC there is a giant parrot/dragon thing. It has a health bar and is clickable but nothing can attack it. Units automatically are drawn to it as an enemy but obviously cannot kill it. Is this just an easter egg or is there a function to this?

Easter egg, it's the Griffen, which was to be a light unit, but never made it into the campaign. It's kinda just there to show it exists.

I think its more like, a giant bully (me) is picking on a little nerdy kid (you) and a teacher walks around the corner of the hallway and asks "ahem, whats going on here?"
