My friend has Lion and he says that there is a 10 second delay whenever he plays in a game online. Why is that and what can he do to fix it?

I've tried Myth on Lion, and haven't seen this. Maybe I should test more.

maybe its something else? Everyone else in game has to wait for him and its discouraging him from playing myth? I told him to remove plugins but its not working.

he says his graphics options are set to:
1920x1200
OPENGL (his only graphics option)
he kept repeating detailed textures, not sure where that is in prefs
also he said:
512 mb texture cache
mac osx lion
2.4 ghz c2d
3 gb ram
mac os 10.7.3

He could try toggling some of the poweruser.txt OpenGL option as described in the 1.7.2 ReadMe here:
http://projectmagma.net/downloads/myth2 ... _1.7.2.pdf
I'd try UseShaders=false.

The player with this issue states he did not have this delay on startup issue before. Somehow it started to become an issue worse and worse. So it might not be an issue all users with the same hardware will face.
Maybe his hardware is messing up since it wasn't a problem before?
