Hello!
I was looking for "Clem's guide to mapmaking", does anyone know if it still exists somewhere "out there" ?
I did find his colormapping walkthrough, but that's not what I was looking for.

if you want the texture files referenced in the guide, download the zip version (link at the top of the article)

Re: Clem's guide to mapmaking
Thanks!
Now I see, I may have mixed things up, it's probably "Magellan's mapmaking guide" I was thinking about. Need to refresh my memory on this stuff.
Now that I think about it there's one thing, how do I put together several maps in the same file? Like if I have a map and I want to include different versions with different units on them?

Re: Clem's guide to mapmaking
Duplicate the mesh tag and give it a different name. Then attach it to a different string list that gives it the name users see.

http://mythgraveyard.org/index.php?a=d&o=guides (mostly mapmaking guides you can download, some strategy)
http://mythgraveyard.org/index.php?a=s&f1=ct1&v1=guide (online articles, Q&A's, how-tos - a lot of mapmaking, but a lot of level walkthroughs and strategy guides too)
