Hi. I am a newbie to Project Magma. I am confused as to how to install the latest and greatest Planet Magma Myth II with all the hires textures and cutscenes. I don't have the original CD (I used to but lost track of it).

I plan to install on a 2014 Mac Mini with El Capitan. Will that be powerful enough? But I do have a Windows10 machine with a killer Graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980ti with 6GB of VRAM).

So should I just download and install the demo as written here: http://projectmagma.net/what/ ?

Should i just download and install the Project Magma Myth II update 1.8.1 as shown on this page: http://projectmagma.net/downloads/

Should I download and install the demo and then install the Project Magma Myth II update 1.8.1 on top of the demo?

Are there less confusing steps written somewhere, in one place, for someone without the original CD on how to properly install all the highres textures, cutscenes in order to get the latest and greatest Planet Magma Myth II

The mac mini should be plenty powerful enough.

You can just download/install the demo and play it as is, however the demo is very limited compared to the full version of the game. You cannot just install the 1.8.1 update over the demo version, as it does not have all of the required game files.

You might be able to find a full version of the game for sale on ebay or something, but there are also a number of places to download it for free online. Linking to it isn't allowed on this forum, but it's easily findable with google.

Once you have the game, download the 1.8.1 update and then either do a manual install as per the directions above, or use the 1.8.1 installer to install from the CD.
