Reviews of Detail Texture Megapack
by Jon God of Project Magma
This texture pack is an incredible achievement by Jon God - a true masterpiece.
The average quality of the textures and the mappings is very high, and the sheer number of maps is absolutely mind boggling.
In all honesty I don't think I've even played as many different maps as are detail textured in this pack. I don't think anyone else would have been capable of pulling something like this off.
In my opinion this is an absolute must have for pretty much everyone.
I would also like to add that as the creator of the Detail Texturing system, I'm very pleased that this pack has finally realized my dreams for the potential of the system.
Bravo JG, Bravo!

If your system can handle Detail Textures, then this plugin is a MUST HAVE.
Great work Jon !!
There are no words. SUPER !!!
Very good however I like detail textures turned off, helps focus more on killing. Good addition to the myth aesthetics.
This is one of those rare pieces of work where you just have to sit back from the screen and shake your head in awe. This is such a meticulous, beautifully executed piece of work that it defies description. This damned plug-in brings so, so much more to the game than was there, but does not interfere with its original intent, nor does it try and "out-do" the people who put Myth together in the first place. Cheers a thousand times over, man.
Holy crap wow. GET THIS.
Absolutely awesome! How did you do this?!? It must have been so much work! I haven't PLAYED as many maps as you've TEXTURED! That's dedication. Thank you! I played Myth I & II when they were new, and loved them, and have had fond memories ever since. To come back to Myth now, and find it looks BETTER than my memories...just great!
Wicked works of the devil. And, I love it. So do you.
Gorgeous!
This is absolutely indispensable.
The pictures on the download page do not do it justice at all. It's difficult to describe how much more visually satisfying these texture maps make the gameplay.
Also, this does not make games red for gamers who did not download it. There's no harm in trying it.
I cannot fathom someone who would download this, try it, and then erase it. It makes the maps gorgeous but does not drown out the units.
There is a key you can use in mid-game (a function key or PgDown or whatever) to toggle the texture maps ON and OFF at will. Whenever I try that, just for kicks, I wince and laugh at the blurry default crap, flip back to Jon God's dtex map, and go back to enjoying Myth as it was meant to be enjoyed.
Jon god!
