GIANT PARROT IN RELIC

At the end of the level, inside the giant tree of RELIC there is a giant parrot/dragon thing. It has a health bar and is clickable but nothing can attack it. Units automatically are drawn to it as an enemy but obviously cannot kill it. Is this just an easter egg or is there a function to this?

Easter egg, it's the Griffen, which was to be a light unit, but never made it into the campaign. It's kinda just there to show it exists.

Kirk you are such an unwashed newb. That's one of M2's best easter eggs. It was unused sprites from TFL that they just stuffed in there. If you listen closely it actually whispers, periodically, "kirk's a newb. kirk's a newb"

it's obviously not the _real_ kirk, everyone knows the real kirk doesn't play the solo campaign.

I think its more like, a giant bully (me) is picking on a little nerdy kid (you) and a teacher walks around the corner of the hallway and asks "ahem, whats going on here?"
i then proceed to put my arm around you like my buddy, smile, and say nothing ma'am, just playing a game. once the teacher leaves the area, i suckerpunch you in the gut, doubling you over into a fetus-style heap on the floor.
